Dear Family and Life Workers,
We are overwhelmed by the graces of yesterday, as we celebrated the beatification of Blessed John Paul II and the Divine Mercy Sunday.
Were not our heart’s burning as we witnessed how a man of God, who has visited our beloved country, became a prophet and spoke about the signs of the times on the anti-family and anti-life culture, bridged religions, envisioned the World Youth Day, in order to catechize the future world leaders, canonized more than 100 Saints during his pontificate, including Pro Life Saints like Saint Gianna Molla and Teresita Benedicta of the Cross, is now a step to Sainthood himself?
In honor of Blessed John Paul II’s compelling stance for the cause of Family and Life, we enjoin all of you family and life workers, to do the following:
· Maintain continuous prayers and vigils within your groups, for the non-passage of the anti-family bills through his intercession;
· Come out with various pro-family and life streamers, posters and other visible materials using Blessed John Paul II’s quotes coming from his various Apostolic Letters and Encyclicals. Let your various organizations do these initiatives and work with your Parishes and schools on this;
· Perhaps you can even print T-shirts with these JP II Pro
Life slogans when you go to Congress in the succeeding days;
· Strategize your presence in Congress by scheduling
attendances per groups and dioceses, taking turns so you can conserve your energies and resources, but ensuring daily presence in the plenary halls of Congress;
· Those among you who are writers must continue sending
Letters to the Editors;
· Those among you who have media contacts must continue to get our voices heard in the various forms of media;
. Let all the many parts of Christ’s body move in unison but
remembering that there is unity in diversity. Let us all act and move according to our charism for the singular purpose of stopping the passage of the anti-life bills.
"Freedom consists not in doing what we like, but in having the right to do what we ought… Fear not…" Blessed John Paul II
Totus Tuus Maria!
Praying for all through Blessed John Paul II,
Fr Melvin
